Pickathon 2009

I'm a big fan of small festivals and can't wait to celebrate Pickathon in Oregon. Taking this ten hour road trip from SF is going to be an adventure with my good friends Chris Middleton and Alex Wong. This is networking at its best. We're going to cover the festival from a San Francisco standpoint for the Deli Magazine, San Francisco. Thao with the Get Down Stay Down and Velvetier are two Bay Area acts that we plan on covering. Have I said this trip going to be awesome? This is a great opportunity to get my photos out there. Photography is something I enjoy very much and it is very fufilling for me. I can't wait to be there and take in all of the scenery, the change of pace and the lovely music I will hear.

I love nothing more than strong women performing good music. My two favorites right now are Lykke Li and Thao Nguyen. They would have the perfect tour if they toured with each other. Only if Lykke LI was playing at the Treasure Island Music Festival this year, I would be thrilled. 

Although, I genuinely love all of their songs, I still have my favorites. 

My new favorite Thao song is Beat Health Life and Fire. 

My favorite Lykke Li song is I'm Good, I'm Gone. 

I particularly like their acoustic/improv performances.
